What is a solid conditioner bar?
A solid conditioner bar is the solid form of the liquid version. Lassëa Solid Conditioner Bars are much more concentrated than traditional liquid conditioners, even other leave-in conditioners. They’re packed with restorative butters, slippery herbs, and soothing oils.

Directions
The most important thing to remember is that Lassëa Solid Conditioner Bars need generous amounts of water to activate!
- Soak hair with water. Water will help create much-needed slip, so make sure your hair is dripping wet and soaked through.
- Wet the bar. You don’t need to douse the bar, but a light pass under the shower will activate its surface.
- Smooth through. Apply the bar directly to hair, starting near the roots and moving down to the ends like you’re combing. You may have to re-wet your hair or the bar as you go.
- Let it work. Gently massage the conditioner through your hair and leave it sit 3-5 minutes for maximum benefit.
- Rinse well. Rinse well, including your skin. Lassëa is very rich and may need to be gently washed away from your neck and back with a body cleanser to prevent breakouts.
- Reapply to the ends. Add a small amount more to the ends and leave it in for smooth, shining, tangle-free hair.

I’ve been using shampoo and conditioner bars mainly from Lush for a few years now, so when I heard these were coming, I was excited! However, once I actually used them, the difference in my hair was night and day. It’s so much softer and smoother than it’s been in a long time, even though I had just hennaed, which generally makes it feel a bit coarse for a while. This was noticable after the first wash, and has continued over the past few weeks. The conditioner is so much easier to apply than my old bar; I used to really have to work to get enough in my hair, but with this all it takes is a few light swipes over each section and I’m good to go. The leaf shape is perfect for me since it fits in my hand well (I was constantly dropping my old bar) and my hair slides nicely through the groove in the middle. I also like that they’re the same scent as the Selkie detangling spray (also awesome!) so they all smell good together. It’s hard to say how long each bar will last, but after several uses my Leaf size bar doesn’t really look much smaller. I also wanted to mention Melissa’s superb customer service after my package had a little mishap during transit. She responded right away and had the replacement shipped out the next business day!

This was my first conditioner bar experience. It was difficult to get the product onto my hair. I was trying not to get the conditioner on my scalp so just used the small sample in the length over each shoulder. Once I felt I had a good amount of product on the length I started to rinse it out but would pull the length on top of my head so that the rinsed out product would run through all my hair again. The hair air dried nicely and I experienced less fall out after combing than usual. The length seems to tangle less and it doesn’t look piecey or greasy. I look forward to using this again!

I was not prepared for how much it would deliver. This is my second order of the shampoo and conditioner bars! I’m still on my first bars, but I always like to have a backup on hand- don’t want to run out! I have been using the shampoo and conditioner bars for almost 3 weeks now. My hair is very soft and has shine! I haven’t had any shine in my hair in ages, so I’m really loving that! The conditioner is especially good for fine tangly hair – like mine! Come to think of it the shampoo and conditioner bars are actually easier to use than traditional shampoo and conditioner bottles. I actually save time not having to open and close and pour out correct amounts – so time and ease of use – bonus there! The shampoo and conditioner bars I leave out on a raised tray and they don’t dry out – they work the same every time! If you leave a bottle open you know it’s going to dry and cake up on the opening. I got this in sample size from the scalp soother kit, and was blown away at what this did with my hair. I was worried having had bad luck with natural conditioners in the past, and never having tried a bar form one, but all the worry was for nothing as this worked beautifully. It gave me a good amount of slip, and conditioned really well without weighing my fine hair down. And speaking of my fine hair, after a few washes with this plus the shampoo bar my hair was not only softer, but it was no longer stick-straight, I was starting to see a wave pattern I haven’t seen in decades! My hair absolutely LOVES this and the shampoo, can’t wait to get more bars!

Holy grail product. I have low porosity, coarse, easily-tangled hair, and this conditioner is by far the best conditioner I’ve ever used on it. When I use this in conjunction with the selkie detangler spray after a wash my hair is as tangle-free as it has ever gotten.

Waited to review so I could have extended time to try. I’ve tried off and on to love shampoo & conditioner bars since I first read about them 15-20 years ago on the long hair forums. I’ve tried soap shampoo, have tried Lush shampoo bars and conditioner bars. Have tried a lot of different brands and formulas. They never wound up being what my hair needed. The conditioner bars especially were usually complete miss/fails.
I was hesitant on this, until I tried the sample. That made me order a larger size. This in combination with the shampoo bar and salve has done amazing things for my hair.
The conditioner bar was exceptionally easy to use – no struggle to get the product on my hair, and provides so much silky slip without leaving hair heavy, it’s amazing.
Well worth the money, and I hope Night Blooming never stops making and selling these! This will be my go to for as long as it’s available to buy.

I first ordered a samples of the Lassea shampoo and conditioner bars and I was impressed so much that I ordered the full-size ones, they are fantastic! I have never used solid shampoo and conditioner bars before, as I was afraid that they would not cleanse well or be too drying. What a surprise! They have completely blown me away with how wonderful they are! The conditioner makes my hair feel so silky soft and has so much “slip” (more than any conditioner I have ever used). I actually look forward to using them and the scent is divinely addicting thank you! ❤️

So far it is the most effective conditioner I tried so far. You don‘t need much, it‘s very effective. Not only I applied some in my lengths, but also a little bit on my head hair. It did not look greasy at all, just shiny, clean and neat after drying.
I did not dare to use it as a leave-in so far, I might try this next time…

I am a picky customer when it comes to my conditioners.
I have long, straight, fine-to-medium hair that is prone to tangles.
I am big user of lightweight silicones, and have not found much out there that can tame my tangles. So when I saw this bar, I was slightly skeptical– would it really work for me? I was already a big fan of Selkie, so I decided to try this bar out.
I was blown away. This bar ate my tangles for breakfast and left my hair slippery, smooth, and shiny. Not to mention, it pairs beautifully with Selkie and to keep my hair tangle-free and happy all day. I have not had to use my silicone conditioners to keep my hair smooth and soft since I started using Lassea.
This conditioner bar is absolutely fantastic, and a little really does go a long way.

I bought the sample size to try out. That little sample bar has lasted several applications so far, and I’ve got a lot of thick hair! I really like this conditioner. A lot of conditioners make my hair feel coated afterward, but this one doesn’t. Yet it moisturizes my coarse and damaged hair very nicely. And I like the fact that the packaging is waste-free. Definitely plan to buy a larger size when the shop’s open again. (PS, good luck on your surgery, Melissa!)
